The playspace features a 10-metre long restored wooden fishing boat, Parkour elements, water play with a creek bed, sensory wall, climbing nets, basket swings and stepping logs, along with an upgraded beach area, barbecues and shelters.
A number of the sensory elements of the play space have been funded through the generous $50,000 donation by the Fleurieu Philanthropy Foundation. This includes a sensory wall, musical and sound features and interpretive artwork scattered throughout the playspace.

In her introduction, Karen wrote: "There is a fabulous new playground in Goolwa which, it seems, is more popular with adults than children. A friend, who shall remain nameless, was attempting to squeeze through the barrier protecting the playground, just prior to the opening date... She had caught a glimpse of the new equipment, musical instruments and artwork from the road and wanted a closer look. She had almost gained access when a smiling security guard approached and told her she was about the twentieth adult to be refused entry within the past week....read more.
